Visit The White Isle

For a summer holiday you won't forget in a hurry, visit The White Isle, better known to us here in the UK as Ibiza.

Miles of the most beautiful sandy beaches, some of the hottest nightlife around and plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars will ensure that your holiday in Ibiza has something for everyone.

Staying on The White Isle

Finding accommodation in Ibiza is easy, whether you book a package holiday or go-it-alone and organise your flights and accommodation separately.

There's plenty of choice, from self-catering apartments aimed at the 18-30 market to hotels with sea views and most accommodation has its own pool as well as plenty of facilities such as a restaurant, terrace and games room.

If you don't fall in the 18-30 category, be careful when booking accommodation, as some parts of the island can be extremely lively, so always double check, particularly if you're looking for a peaceful break.

Make sure you have insurance cover for travelling to The White Isle, no matter where you're staying, as if you need medical care on your holiday you could quickly find yourself running out of Euros.

Off the beaten track

Whilst Ibiza is popular with clubbers from across the world, there is a more peaceful side to the island that often goes unnoticed.

People of all ages come to Ibiza for the sun, sea, sand and local culture, the best place to start exploring is the area around Santa Eulalia or Sant Vincent, on the island's east coast.

Stay away from the main resorts filled with the 18-30 crowd unless you're looking for some serious partying! Santa Eulalia's charming 14th century town centre is filled with whitewashed houses and a church built on the hill-top overlooking the sea.

Enjoy dining in the sunny courtyard of Bar Anita, where you'll experience the opportunity to taste some of the best gazpacho on the island.

A spot of culture

Exploring Ibiza town is an experience in itself, although prepare for crowds of British tourists.

Stroll around the ancient ramparts or head for 'Dalt Vila', the old town, where you'll find the archaeological museum, galleries and the Arabic museum, as well as plenty of traditional local restaurants serving fresh local food and tempting sangria.

The White Isle is an island of contrasts, of varied sights and sounds, and everyone's experience here is different - from those who come to dance the night away at Pacha to those looking to enjoy a slower pace of life whilst they soak up the local culture.

It's the perfect choice for anyone looking to escape the UK for a week in the sun and your break can be as budget-friendly or as luxurious as you like.
