High-tech Luggage

Space Case 1 - The World's Most Advanced Smart Suitcase

Lost luggage is so last century - or at least, it could become that way thanks to the newest high-tech gadgets designed to solve this age-old problem.

There's nothing more guaranteed to ruin your family holiday or romantic city break than arriving at your destination to find out your luggage isn't there waiting for you.

Even if you have travel insurance to protect you, losing your belongings can get your holiday off to a less than cheery start. Step up technology.

The Space Case 1

Billed as 'the world's most advanced smart suitcase' the Space Case 1 is currently at funding stage on Kickstarter, and it's poised to change the way we travel, forever.

Available in two sizes, a carry-on bag and checked bag, it meets size restrictions for most major airlines, and has a number of high-tech features, including a built-in digital scale, which eliminates the need to weigh your luggage at home.

Other cool features include a high-quality speaker, so you can play music and make hands-free phone calls, from your suitcase, a Bluetooth-enabled microphone, and an anti-theft proximity sensor which is controlled using an app, available for Android and iPhone, this sensor activates an alarm when the app is more than 40 feet from the suitcase.

The suitcase also sends you a text when your case arrives on the baggage carousel, so no more waiting and trying to spot your case amongst the others whizzing round.

Security is also a top priority for this high-tech case, with biometric fingerprint locking that can store up to five passenger's fingerprints and a global GPS tracking system that is free to use.

Indestructible luggage

The Space Case 1 is also virtually indestructible, and as anyone who has ever lost luggage knows, it's all too common to eventually be reunited with your suitcase only to find it's broken or torn open.

This suitcase is designed to withstand UV radiation exposure and temperatures ranging from -100 degrees centigrade to 125 degrees centigrade - although we doubt you'll be travelling anywhere at either end of the scale anytime soon.

With estimated delivery dates this November, the Space Case 1 will cost from $600 to $700 USD, depending on the size you order, and it could solve the lost luggage conundrum forever.

No doubt the launch of the Space Case 1 is just the first in a long line of high-tech gadgets designed to change the way we travel and make life easier abroad.
