The Ocean Sport Centre at Carbis Bay, near St Ives, is the perfect place for the kids to try water sports; alternatively, why not head off on an ocean adventure, departing on a boat from Newquay Harbour for a sea safari or a fishing trip?

Cornwall has a rich history and those wishing to explore their knowledge could consider staying at the Jamaica Inn on Bodmin Moor, which was immortalised in Daphne du Maurier's tale of pirates and smugglers. Set in a beautiful moorland location, the inn is even said to be home to the odd spirit or two; however, don't let this put you off staying here.
