What could be better than a white Christmas? We're not always lucky enough to get one here in the UK, but there's no need to worry. Here are some popular Chritmas travel destinations with our customers for you to consider.

Travel to Russia

Russia is a country of great contrasts, of indescribable beauty and cold cruelty, with diverse landscapes, welcoming people and a rich history. It's the perfect destination for a winter break, and for the best experience, you should check out Moscow and St Petersburg.

Of course, there are off the beaten track spots too, and if you're after the great outdoors, head for Siberia or enjoy one of the country's top ski resorts.

The village of Dargavs with its 400 year old mausoleums is a must-see, as is the pretty village of Gorodets on the River Volga - it is home to artists and bakers who make the most amazing honey cake.

Trip to Iceland

You’ll need plenty of cosy winter gear if you want to explore the rugged landscape of Iceland. Of course, you could cosy up in a luxury hotel, but for those who really want to see this amazing country, expect stunning coastlines, hot springs, glaciers and active volcanoes.

Explore the historical city of Reykjavik or take part in some whale watching - the choice is yours.

Explore Antarctica

Whilst much of Antarctica is off limits to all but the most intrepid explorers, there are a number of cruise companies and tour operators running tours of this vast continent.

It’s well worth a visit if stunning scenery is your thing - photographers will think they're in heaven! You'll need full winter gear before you even consider setting foot in Antarctica.

Long weekend in Prague

This jewel in the Czech Republic crown is probably at its most beautiful in the winter months, although you'll need your thermals. Expect Christmas markets, carol singers, stunning architecture and plenty of cultural delights.

Prague is home to the best beer in Europe, so you'll be able to cosy up in one of the city's quaint drinking dens, before taking to the maze of alleyways and exploring the city on foot.

Walking is the best way to take in the city's sights, and there's always something new to discover. Whilst it's one of Europe's most popular destinations, it's still wonderfully quirky and charming, and the perfect spot for a long weekend this winter.
