An Easter egg hunt of perfect destinations

Easter is right around the corner, and for many of us, a break abroad is on the cards. Whether you have an exotic destination in mind or somewhere a little closer to home, finding the perfect spot for your trip can be hard - it's bit like an Easter egg hunt; a lot of effort but well worth it in the end! Here's our guide to the best destinations for your perfect Easter break.

The English Riviera

If you're looking for the perfect spot close to home, why not head for the English Riviera? The pretty seaside towns of Paignton, Torquay and Brixham all have one thing in common; gorgeous beaches! This is a great place to head if you're on holiday with the family as there's plenty here to keep kids of all ages amused. Pirates, fish markets, donkey rides and amusement parks abound in the area and with a rich maritime history including tales of smuggling, you'll never be bored on your break. Brixham has plenty of self-catering fishermens' cottages for a cosy stay and don't miss the renowned fish market and seafood restaurants where you can enjoy fish and seafood caught fresh that day!

South of France

Forget about Paris and do something a little different with your Easter break this year - the South of France has loads to offer - good food, sunshine and of course plenty of local wine to try. If you're looking to get off the beaten track, the beautiful villages of the Languedoc region are a must see. Many date back over 1,000 years - Pezenas and St Enimie are two that you simply can't afford to miss. The medieval fortress of Carcasonne will be instantly familiar to anyone who has read 'Labyrinth' by author Kate Moss, and don't miss the fortified town of Aigues Mortes. Munich

Spring is a great time of year to explore all that Munich has to offer. Whilst many people travel here in the Autumn to enjoy Oktoberfest, a trip to Munich in the spring lets you see the city without the throngs of tourists. Famous for its culture and stunning architecture, there's plenty to amuse couples and families here. Explore the baroque palace and grounds of Schloss Nymphenburg and spend an afternoon wandering around the Glyptothek at Konigsplatz - you'll find an impressive collection of Grecian sculptures. No trip to Munich is complete without trying some Bavarian cuisine - Weisswurst (veal sausage), pretzels and Knodel (dumplings) are all popular here.
